I just browse the web and get twitter notification from someone I follow and he mention about Load Impact.

I get curious about his tweet and decide to do the same test with this blog (hostingformula.net) soon after I get spare time icon smile How to test your web hosting performance (and their promise too)

I have a few hosting account :

  1. Shared Hosting
  2. VPS Hosting
  3. Dedicated server

Number 1 and 2 is for my client and mine too while the last type only for my company where I work with.

I decide to test Load Impact for my shared hosting ( bluehost and hostgator ) because it’s common account that exist in real world and my friend use that kind of account for their blog.

Process

1. Get free account by click this link.

2. Enter url that you want to test.

For shared hosting I just concern about :

loadimpact 2 How to test your web hosting performance (and their promise too)

1. User load time

loadimpact 3 How to test your web hosting performance (and their promise too)

Current wordpress theme, cache plugin and web hosting connectivity work together for delivering content  in acceptable load time (7.4 second is the highest load time for 40 clients).

2. Accumulated Load Time

loadimpact 4 How to test your web hosting performance (and their promise too)

Its common to see low respon due to traffic increase but I’m glad to see from 40 clients to 50 clients don’t make it worst in accumulated load time. I think it’s result of high end spec and efficient system behind the scheme deployed by engineers at my web hosting.

3. Bandwidth Usage

loadimpact 5 How to test your web hosting performance (and their promise too)

Yes, no need to explain. More access means more bandwidth and I’m not afraid for it since my web hosting provide unlimited.

Pretty good service from Load Impact that help me to see how this blog work under load.

I think I’ll use their paid service for higher load on my dedicated server.

Dedicated Server report == UnixBench + Load Impact

Stay health and see you next time!
