Recent experiment with CSR on Windows 7 for testing valid https on PHP Installer give an CSR. I want to try it with freessl as they provide 30 days free ssl certificate.
After enter information about server that I want to use I enter CSR (from previously created step)
Click Continue.
The system will automatically read CSR and waiting for you to verify with these info :
- Common name
- Organization
- Org. Unit
- Locality
- State
- Country
If you think everything is fine click Continue button.
Enter Site administrator contact information.
Approval of your certificate request
Rapidssl will automatically check and confirm email of admin and technical contact.
FreeSSL Enrollment
You’ll see summary of order.
Don’t forget to check “I agree to subscriber agreement” and click Submit order button.
Their system will automatically verify with phone system, make sure you enter right information.
Listen the call carefully as you’ll get confirmation code that you need for completing the process.
Confirmation page will appear tell if the process is completed.
Email you’ll get during process
1. Email approvement
Click the link will need you to approve.
2. Email order
Confirmation of successful process with attachment of your certificate.
