How are you today, I hope you’re great and always have good health. Today I’ll continue spread blog service series. I’m going to cover procedure for setting subdomain with address http://blogspot.hostingformula.net using blogspot as blog provider service.

Lets get start!

What I do on Blogger dot com side

Login to blogger and create new blog

Enter blog title, blog address and word verification.

Choose template, I pick ‘simple‘ theme and click Continue.

Ok, the famous message “your blog has been created” show up.

Click link “Set up a custom domain” under Advanced Setup Options.

Find “Switch to advanced settings” link.

Enter domain. In this case I enter “http://blogspot.hostingformula.net” as planned before.

Click Save settings.

Settings were saved and ready to continue to next part.

What I do on cpanel side

Login to cpanel (I use bluehost, hostgator user will see same display too)

Find “Simple DNS Zone Editor“.

Choose domain (hostingformula.net) and scroll down.

Find “Add a CNAME Record” and enter this :

Name : blogspot.hostingformula.net

CNAME : ghs.google.com

Click Add CNAME Record button.

Success, record added as seen on the picture.

Wait for while (in my case I wait for 24 hours before see the result)

Check the result by visiting http://blogspot.hostingformula.net

Can you see it?  if you don’t perhaps your dns server not get the new record yet.

You also able to test it via ultrasurf, vpn or hotspot shield.
